Commissioner McGhee appointed to The Corps Network Board of Directors

MIAMI-DADE – Commissioner Kionne L. McGhee was recently appointed to join The Corps Network National Board of Directors. This organization provides young adults an opportunity to transform their lives and community through a wide array of programs including career development and civic engagement.

Commissioner McGhee was chosen to serve on the board based on his former service as a Corpsman and continued collaboration with the Greater Miami Service Corps. As he serves on the board, Commissioner McGhee hopes to promote the mission of Service Corps, both locally and nationally.

“It is an honor to be appointed to The Corps Network National Board of Directors,” said Commissioner McGhee. “The work that this organization does plays a very important part in empowering our youth and creating stronger ties between members of our community. The Corps Network’s programs also work to protect the environment while helping Corpsmembers develop key job skills that help them overcome some of the barriers they face.”

Commissioner McGhee’s first three-year term will officially start on March 6, 2023, at the first board meeting of the year in Washington, D.C. The organization’s annual national conference will begin on March 7. On March 9, Commissioner McGhee will facilitate a plenary panel of former Corpsmembers who have gone on to hold leadership roles in various sectors.
