MIAMI – Miami-Dade County Commissioner Joe A. Martinez will recognize Pinecrest Preparatory Middle-High School with a co-designation ceremony and present them with a proclamation at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 27, 2019. Residents are invited to join Commissioner Martinez as he dedicates the portion of roadway Southwest 149th Avenue between SW 42nd Street (Bird Road) and SW 40th Terrace as “Pinecrest Middle-High School Avenue.” This portion of the roadway is being dedicated in honor of the school’s commitment to education and service to the community.
Pinecrest Preparatory Middle-High School was established to offer our community an educational choice based on a culture of high expectations, college readiness and an innovative curriculum designed to push and pull their students based on their abilities and needs. In 2018, Pinecrest Preparatory Middle-High School celebrated its 10th anniversary, and after a decade has remained committed to fostering community participation via partnerships with corporations, scientific agencies, colleges and universities, as well as civic organizations and community leaders to afford its students mentoring and employment opportunities. They also continue focusing on the overall wellbeing and personal integrity of its students through its many extra-curricular activities.
“It is a privilege to recognize Pinecrest Preparatory Middle-High School, which has diligently provided and continues to provide the students with the necessary tools for a promising and brighter future,” said Commissioner Martinez.
