Commissioner Diaz and DJ Laz to collect toys for Radio Lollipop and Toys for Tots

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY – Miami-Dade County Commissioner Jose “Pepe” Diaz will team up with DJ Laz for the annual Radio Lollipop and Toys for Tots campaign to collect Christmas toys for children in the community.

The event will take place on Saturday, Nov. 26 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Tropical Park, 7900 SW 40th St. Event goers should bring an unwrapped toy or $10 and enjoy a day of fun featuring a motorcycle and car show, music, food vendors, and plenty of activities for kids.

The toys collected will benefit children at Radio Lollipop at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital and the Toys for Tots campaign for less fortunate children in the community. “This is a great event for the whole family, and I invite everyone to come out and have fun while helping ensure that every child enjoys a merry Christmas,” Commissioner Diaz said.

Toys for Tots is a national project of the United States Marine Corps Reserve which began in Los Angeles in 1947.
