MIAMI-DADE – Miami-Dade County Commissioner Jose “Pepe” Diaz is partnering with City of Sweetwater Mayor Orlando Lopez, Florida State Representative Ana Maria Rodriguez, District 105 and Farm Share to host a drive-through food distribution for residents of the City of Sweetwater and surrounding areas on Monday, April 20 starting at 9 a.m., until supplies last.

The free food distribution will take place at Vann Academy, 400 NW 112th Ave., Miami, FL 33172. No walk-ups; cars only, and residents must stay in their vehicles.

“We’re now into the sixth week of this partnership and plan to keep it going as long as the state of emergency continues and food supplies last,” Commissioner Diaz said. “We need to make sure residents who are financially affected have enough to eat while staying safe until things get back to normal.”
