Commissioner Diaz joins District 12 businesses to serve lunch to first responders
MIAMI-DADE – Miami-Dade County Commissioner Jose “Pepe” Diaz is joining District 12 businesses Sabor Havana Cigars and Prologis to serve lunch to police and fire first responders on Friday, May 8, at Westend Shopping Center, 2600 NW 87th Avenue in Doral. The event starts at 1:30 p.m. and runs as long as supplies last.
The lunch will be provided by Divieto Italian Restaurant and Catering the Event by Susan Bleemer.
Doral Mayor Juan Carlos Bermudez and Doral council members also will be participating.
“I feel very blessed and I know how hard our first responders are working to keep our community safe,” said Jorge L. Valdes, owner of Sabor Havana Cigars.
Sabor Havana Cigars also will be providing first responders with free cigars donated by Villiger Cigars USA.
“I want to thank Sabor Havana Cigars and Prologis for stepping up,” Commissioner Diaz said. “This is a way of showing our appreciation for our local police and fire for all they’re doing during the COVID-19 state of emergency.
“Prologis has always given back to our community and we were happy to participate in this event to honor our first responders,” said Prologis SVP Market Officer Scott Gregory.
