Chairman Diaz joins Haitian community in solidarity after President Moïse’s assassination

MIAMI-DADE – Miami-Dade County Commission Chairman Jose “Pepe” Diaz on Thursday condemned Haitian President Jovenel Moïse’s assassination, issuing the following statement.

“Miami-Dade stands in solidarity with South Florida's Haitian community after the horrific assassination of Haitian President Jovenel Moïse that also left first lady Martine Moïse wounded. We pray for peace for Haiti and hope the perpetrators of this cowardly act are brought to justice,” Chairman Diaz said.
