This funding can assist with the purchase of business-related expenses, such as supplies, equipment, liability insurance, and advertising. It can also be used to fund professional services, such as accounting, seminars, and events. Each business can receive up to $2,500 in funding through this program.
There will be a mandatory informational meeting, scheduled for Feb. 15, 2023, at 6 p.m. at the Firefighters Memorial Building, 8000 NW 21st St., Miami, FL 33122.
During the meeting, the application process and eligibility requirements will be reviewed. Attending the meeting does not guarantee funding, and it is recommended that applicants do not complete the application before attending the meeting. Business owners applying for funding must own a small for-profit business, located within District 12, and it must be in operation for at least one year.
Competed applications can be hand delivered to the District 12 Office, 8345 NW 12th St., Miami, FL 33126, from Feb. 16 through Feb. 23, 2023, between 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 to 4 p.m. No late applications will be accepted.
