Commissioner Bermudez hosts groundbreaking ceremony for new Doral Branch Library

MIAMI-DADE – Commissioner Juan Carlos Bermudez hosted a groundbreaking ceremony on Monday, Dec. 18, 2023, for the new Doral Branch Library which will be located at 5360 NW 84th Ave., Doral, FL 33166. Commissioner Bermudez held the event in partnership with the Miami-Dade Public Library System Director Ray Baker and Mayor Daniella Levine Cava, along with City of Doral Mayor Christi Fraga and Codina Partners.
Having been a part of this project since its inception and a strong advocate of libraries, Commissioner Bermudez stated his support of this new development.
"I'm very honored to have participated in the development of the upcoming Doral Branch Library as this facility will improve the lives of residents in District 12 seeking technological knowledge and educational development," said Commissioner Bermudez.
The new Doral Branch Library, located in the heart of Downtown Doral, will be a sustainable and environmentally friendly 20,000-square-foot state-of-the-art facility. It will feature a three-story layout with a large children's room and storytelling area, a technology space for creation and learning, a sensory-friendly room, various multi-purpose rooms, a courtyard terrace, electric vehicle (EV) charging stations, and an extensive and upgraded collection of best-selling books, among other amenities.
