Commissioner René García to support disaster relief efforts in Southwestern Florida

MIAMI-DADE – Hurricane Ian may be one of the largest natural disasters ever to strike Florida. In response, Senator René García, Miami-Dade County Commissioner for District 13, and City of Hialeah Mayor Esteban Bovo, Jr. are partnering to help the residents of Southwestern Florida battered by Hurricane Ian.

“My heart goes out to those impacted by Hurricane Ian. This catastrophic event affects all Floridians. That is why we are joining efforts with the City of Hialeah to provide support and assistance, whatever that may be, for our brothers and sisters on Florida’s west coast,” stated Senator García.

Much help is needed. Monetary donations can be sent directly to these communities by visiting FloridaDisasterFund.org or texting DISASTER to 20222.
