Senator René García appointed to the South Florida Ecosystem Restoration Task Force

MIAMI-DADE – Governor Ron DeSantis recommended the appointment of Senator René García to serve on the South Florida Ecosystem Restoration Task Force. The appointment was confirmed by Tanya Trujillo, Chair of the Task Force and Assistant Secretary for Water and Science. Comprised of federal, state, tribal, and local partners, the Task Force aims to address the region’s environmental challenges and ensure a sustainable future for its diverse ecosystems. The Task Force will leverage its members’ collective expertise and resources to develop and implement comprehensive restoration strategies and drive a coordinated approach to protect and restore the South Florida ecosystem.
