Commissioner Esteban “Steve” Bovo to hold street naming with Vice Chairwoman Rebecca Sosa and Florida State Senator Rene Garcia for Tomas-Minerva Vinuela

MIAMI-DADE – Miami-Dade County Commissioner Esteban “Steve” Bovo, Vice Chairwoman Rebeca Sosa, and former Florida State Senator Rene Garcia are co-designating a street in honor of Hialeah Hardware and Lumber owner Tomas-Minerva Vinuela at State Road 934/East 25th Street between East 8th Avenue and East 9th Avenue on Friday, February 14 at noon.

Tomas and Minerva Vinuela emigrated from Cuba in the 1960s and later founded Hialeah Hardware & Lumber at 851 East 25th Street in Hialeah. For more than two decades after founding Hialeah Hardware & Lumber, the Vinuela family continues to own and operate the business.
