Commissioner Esteban “Steve” Bovo and Chairwoman Audrey M. Edmonson to host a Religious Leaders 2020 Census Roundtable
MIAMI-DADE – Miami-Dade County Commissioner Esteban “Steve” Bovo and Chairwoman Audrey M. Edmonson are inviting religious leaders in Miami-Dade County to a roundtable to talk about the upcoming 2020 Census this Thursday, March 5 at 11:00 a.m. There will be a media availability after the meeting at 12:00 noon.
“Religious and inter-faith leaders are the county’s most trusted voices,” Commissioner Bovo said. “The purpose of the discussion is to encourage everyone from all walks of life and faith that this is their census and that an accurate count will provide them with critical public services.”
“The Census will help ensure that we have proper representation in Congress and a fair share of federal funds for schools, hospitals, roads, public works, and vital services. Miami-Dade County looks forward to working with religious leaders in our community to help make sure everyone is counted,” Chairwoman Audrey M. Edmonson said.
