ACTING
VILLAGE MANAGER
The
Village Charter currently provides that the Village Manager
may appoint an acting Village Manager in the case of termination.
The Village Council has recommended that the Charter be
amended to provide for the Mayor to appoint an acting Village
Manager, subject to Village Council approval, if the Village
Manager is terminated.

CHARTER
REVISION COMMISSION APPOINTMENT
The
Village Charter currently provides that the Village Council
shall appoint a Charter Revision Commission every six (6)
years. The Village Council has recommended that the Charter
be amended to require the Village Council to appoint a
Charter Revision Commission every ten (10) years beginning
in 2016.

CHARTER
REVISION COMMISSION AMENDMENTS ELECTION
The
Village Charter currently provides that any amendments
proposed by the Charter Revision Commission be submitted
to the electorate no later than 120 days after submission
to the Village Council. The Village Council has recommended
that the Charter be amended to require that the amendments
be submitted to the electorate at the next general election
in the Village or at a special election.
