Homeless Assessment, Referral and Tracking Program (HART)

Homeless Assessment, Referral and Tracking Program (HART) Provides assessment and placement to court supervised homeless individuals. The bondable homeless offenders are released and placed by HART in a treatment housing facilities. The HART staff represents the clients in court and ensures their appearance to all hearings by offering intensive tracking services. Services are accessed through the courts.

Homeless Helpline

The Miami-Dade County Homeless Trust operates a toll-free Homeless Helpline to provide one easy point of access to obtain assistance for persons who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. Individuals calling the Homeless Helpline are assessed and referred to appropriate services - either homeless assistance or homeless prevention. Calls for homeless assistance are answered seven days a week.

Specialized Transitional Opportunity Program (STOP)

The Specialized Transitional Opportunity Program (STOP) offers transitional housing with a stable living environment for homeless substance abusers. The STOP treatment services address multiple problems associated with homelessness and co-occurring substance abuse issues.

Reinvestment Grant Program

Assistant homeless individuals with mental illness in applying for entitlement such as social security, medicaid and housing. They also make sure that the ex offenders continue to receive treatment and medication when they get out of jail. Corrections and Rehabilitation
