MDFR hosts Advanced Life Support Competition

(MIAMI, June 26, 2015) – Miami-Dade Fire Rescue (MDFR) will host fire rescue departments from South Florida for the 3rd Annual MDFR Advanced Life Support competition on Saturday, June 27, 2015 beginning at 7 a.m., at the Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Training Center in Doral.

Advanced Life Support (ALS) competitions are conducted to allow the best and brightest from fire rescue and emergency medical service (EMS) agencies around the world, to pit their skills against one another.  More importantly, this competitive environment is a breeding ground for cutting edge innovations in EMS.

Medical directors, Dr. Donald Rosenberg and Dr. Marc Grossman, along with MDFR's ALS team of international-champion-paramedics, developed all of the emergency scenarios that will test the knowledge, skill and efficiency of the competitors.
