Evaluation and Appraisal Report (EAR) Task Force

Mayor Daniella Levine Cava created the Miami-Dade County Evaluation and Appraisal Report (EAR) Task Force to provide recommendations that will inform the County’s review and update of the Comprehensive Development Master Plan (CDMP) known as the Evaluation and Appraisal Report (EAR), which the County is required by state law to undertake every seven years. The Evaluation and Appraisal Report includes an evaluation of the progress the County has made in implementing the CDMP and also recommends changes to the CDMP. Creation of the EAR Task Force affords an opportunity to review the County’s CDMP policies in a comprehensive manner, together with other related policies. For more information on the Evaluation and Appraisal Report process, please visit the EAR website.

The EAR Task Force is charged with providing the following:
  • Recommending changes to the CDMP to account for a planning horizon of 2050
  • Identifying barriers that prevent the County from achieving the CDMP Vision Statement and associated goals, objectives and policies
  • Recommending changes to the CDMP goals, objectives, policies and text that guide growth in the County, specifically including those focused on infill development and future expansion areas
