Rental assistance is available to Miami-Dade County residents

As our community continues to navigate the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, Miami-Dade County presses on to assist residents experiencing hardships. Among the available aid programs is the new Emergency Rental Assistance Program 2.3 (ERAP 2.3).

Qualifying Miami-Dade County residents whose families are experiencing difficulties paying their full monthly rent may receive rental assistance based on family size, bedroom size of the housing unit, the rent owed, and current household income. Applications are accepted until Friday, June 25 at 5 p.m.

The application must be completed by the tenant, but landlords/owners are encouraged to contact the program by email at [email protected] or by phone at 786-688-2440 to refer tenants who are behind in their rent.

Applicants who applied during the first phase of the program will be able to apply again as long as it covers different months.

Your household must earn no more than 80 percent of the County Area Median Income (AMI).

The easiest, fastest and most secure way to apply is online. You can also pick up and drop off the completed application from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday, June 14-25 at any of these two locations. Please note the locations will be closed Monday, June 21 due to the observance of Juneteenth.
