Welcome to Our Newly Designed Website

The Office of the Inspector General is proud to announce the launch of our newly redesigned website! Recreated to reflect a more accessible format with search capabilities, our new site offers simpler navigation and direct access to our work product, allowing you to navigate, search and report fraud from any device, any time of day.

In response to the COVID-19 epidemic, we are implementing certain procedures to ensure the health and safety of the general public and our staff. Until further notice, our downtown office in the Overtown Transit Village will be closed to the public, however, the OIG is fully operational using electronic communication.

Ensuring Honesty and Efficiency

Autonomous and independent, the Miami-Dade County Office of the Inspector General (OIG) was created by the Board of County Commissioners to serve as a watchdog over County practices. Through three distinct yet overlapping functions – audits, investigations and legal/contract oversight – the OIG investigates fraud, waste and abuse, rendering findings based on facts and evidence.

Report Fraud

If you believe you've witnessed County government fraud, waste, abuse of power or mismanagement, report it to the Office of the Inspector General. You may choose to remain anonymous.
