Property Appraiser Lazaro Solis launches a new version of the Property Search Application
Today, Miami-Dade County Property Appraiser Lazaro Solis officially launched a fully re-designed website and a new version of the Property Search. By visiting the new site at www.miamidade.gov/pa, anyone can access the 2014 version of the Property Search application, which provides users assessment information on any property in Miami-Dade County. The Property Appraiser’s Property Search averages over 25,000 views per day and is by far the most visited of the County’s webpages.
Over the past year, visitors to the site were asked to submit suggestions and ideas on how the Property Search could be improved. The project was finished within the first month of Mr. Solis’ term, and today, March 3rd was set as the official launch date.
The enhancements available in the new property search include:
- Mobile friendly design
- New detailed report
- Improved owner name and address search capability
- Detailed Land, Building, and Extra Features information
- Full list of owners
- Complete list of property addresses
- New imagery and map features:
- Geo-zoom feature
- View angle (oblique) view of property
- View various geographic boundaries, such as: municipality, commission districts, and zoning
- Link to Google Street View
Upon launching the re-designed website and new Property Search application, Property Appraiser Solis stated, “It is vital that we use the technology available to us in order to provide the public with access to more comprehensive data in a faster and more efficient manner. When I was sworn-in as Property Appraiser, I committed to applying technological innovation to fulfill the office’s mission of providing the highest quality service to the residents of Miami-Dade, and today’s website and new Property Search launch are a first major step towards that goal.”
