Property Owners Receive Exemption Renewal Receipts
Property Appraiser Pedro J. Garcia has mailed out the Automatic Renewal Receipts to eligible property owners in Miami-Dade County.
The mailings and quantities for each include:
- Automatic Homestead Renewals: 396,259
- Institutional Renewal Receipts (Residential): 6,903
- Institutional Renewal Receipts (Personal Property): 2,234
- Courtesy Exemption Applications: 16,987
- Affordable Housing: 240
- Deployed Military: 24
These letters are meant to help property owners who currently have an exemption on their property. If the property owners are still eligible for the exemption(s) in 2015, they do not need to do anything; they should keep the document for their records. However, if they no longer qualify for their exemption(s) they should contact the Property Appraiser’s Office immediately at (305) 375-4712.
Property owners can visit our office in Downtown Miami (111 NW 1st Street, 7th Floor) or the South Dade Government Center (10710 SW 211th Street, 2nd Floor), Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. In an effort to assist homeowners, our Office will host multiple weekend and evening outreach events around the county.
