Property Appraiser Garcia Releases New Online Survey to Assist Homeowners with Damages Caused by Hurricane Irma

Miami-Dade County, FL—Property Appraiser Pedro J. Garcia announced the release of a new online damage assessment survey, to assist property owners whose properties suffered damages as a result of Hurricane Irma.

Structural damage or water damage to a building may affect property assessments.  If a property has suffered physical damage, which significantly affects the use or condition of the property, an adjustment to the assessed value may be warranted.  “We want to let property owners know we are here to help in the aftermath of Hurricane Irma and have developed a new online survey to make it easier for them to report any property  damage they may have suffered during the storm,” said Property Appraiser Garcia.

Property owners who would like assistance with assessing damages to their properties may contact our office at 305-375-4712 or visit our website at www.miamidade.gov/pa. for more information.
