The Underline

The Underline will connect communities, improve pedestrian and bicyclist safety, create over a hundred acres of open space with restored natural habitats, encourage a healthy lifestyle, provide an easily accessible place to exercise, create a mobility corridor that integrates transit, car, biking and walking, provide a 10-mile canvas for artistic expression, attract development along US1, and generate significant economic impact.

Parks Master Plan

This Parks and Open Space Master Plan envisions that great parks, public spaces, natural and cultural areas, streets, greenways, blueways, and trails can form the framework for a more sustainable community.

Miami-Dade Parks and the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) hosted an Innovation Lab on March 12 & 13, 2015. The Innovation Lab was able to bring park and recreation professionals around the nation to share ideas and experiences on how to face upcoming challenges, reduce costs, and better serve the public.

Neat Streets Miami

Formerly known as the Community Image Advisory Board, ''Neat Streets Miami'' is a county board dedicated to the maintenance and beautification of transportation gateways, corridors and connections.

Landscape Agency

The Landscape Agency is equipped to provide you with the type of services that can greatly reduce potential hurricane damage costs.

Natural Areas Management Division (NAM)

The Natural Areas Management Division (NAM) of the Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department is responsible for restoration and management of 98 nature preserves totaling morethan 26,000 acres of land.

Assessment Districts

An assessment district (formerly known as a special taxing district) is  is a designated area whereby a majority of property owners agree to allow Miami-Dade County to provide public improvements and special services through a non-ad valorem assessment.

Western Greenway

Miami-Dade County Parks Recreation and Open Spaces (MDC-PROS) collaborated with The Trust for Public Land (TPL) to determine strategies for realizing the Western Greenway vision – a key element of the county’s 2008 Parks and Open Space Master Plan.
