The Miami Dade Police Department (MDPD) will welcome 35 new police officers on Thursday, May 11, 2023, at 10 a.m. in the graduation of Miami-Dade Public Safety Training Institute  Basic Law Enforcement Class #138. The swearing in ceremony will be held at the Fire Tower Miami 8000 NW 21 Street, Miami, Florida 33122. The new recruits successfully completed 39 weeks of intense academic, physical and practical training in areas such as patrol procedures, criminal law, firearms training, and crisis intervention training.
