According to investigators, on Sunday, March 10, 2019, a female called 911 and advised the operator that she shot her husband several times during a confrontation. Kendall District officers responded to 4730 SW 67 Avenue, where they discovered a male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded and determined the male deceased on the scene. As homicide detectives further investigated the case, they were able to determine that the statements provided by Aimee Martinez's were refuted by physical evidence. In collaboration with the Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office, it was determined that there is probable cause to believe that  Aimee Martinez committed 1st Degree Murder. She was arrested and charged accordingly.
