The Miami-Dade Police Department (MDPD), Homicide Bureau, is investigating a shooting that resulted in the death of Joanne Hines. According to investigators, officers were dispatched to Oak Grove Park, 690 NE 159 Street, regarding a female bleeding and possibly shot. Upon officers’ arrival, as well as Miami-Dade Fire Rescue (MDFR) personnel, the victim was located on the west side of the park and was suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. MDRD pronounced the victim deceased at the scene. Homicide investigators are seeking the assistance of the community in locating the subject (s) and the individual who called 911.
