The Miami-Dade Police Department's Robbery Bureau is seeking the assistance of the community in identifying and/or locating a man who, Thursday, July 23, 2015, attempted to rob the employee at the supermarket located at 13501 SW 268 Street and a woman waiting at a nearby bus stop.
Detectives say the subject, wearing a hooded sweat shirt and dark aviator-style sunglasses, entered the supermarket and approached the counter. When the clerk walked over the subject brandished a handgun and demanded cash from the register. The clerk was able to walk away from the subject, who then pistol whipped a second employee before running out of the store without taking any property.
The same subject ran across the street and confronted a woman sitting at the bus stop. That victim, was also an employee of the supermarket who had just finished her shift, was robbed at gun point. The subject fled the area on foot.
