The Miami-Dade Police Department's Robbery Bureau is seeking the assistance of the community in identifying and/or locating a man who, Sunday, August 30, robbed the Dollar and More Store at 28921 S. Dixie Highway and assaulted a female clerk. Detectives say the robber demanded that the clerk open the register, struck her with an item he removed from the shelves and then dragged her to a storage room at the back of the store. After throwing her violently into a storage room, he returned to the front counter but was unable to take any money from the register. The robber is captured on surveillance video walking out of the store with a green shopping basket filled with boxes of cigarettes. Video surveillance footage may be obtained from the FTP site.
