The Miami-Dade Police Department's Arson Unit is investigating an explosion that occurred inside a Miami-Dade County Department of Solid Waste Management truck earlier today in southwest Miami-Dade. The explosion happened at approximately 11:00 a.m., during a routine garbage pickup, shattering the windows of a nearby residence, but causing no injuries to anyone. John Webb, the truck driver, jumped out of the truck and was taken to West Baptist Hospital as a precaution. The investigation continues.
