The Miami-Dade Police Department’s Robbery Bureau is seeking the assistance of the community in identifying and/or locating two men who, last Monday, October 26, robbed an electronics retail store located at 12495 SW 88 Street, and threated a store employee with a knife.
Detectives say the men entered the store shortly after 9:30 Monday night, grabbed several gaming consoles (X-BOX and Halo) valued at almost $4,000, and walked out without paying.
The store’s Loss Prevention Officer followed the thieves outside in an attempt to get a description of the pair and their vehicles, but had to retreat when one of them threatened him with a knife.
Video surveillance footage showed that one of them, the one who threatened the store employee, was wearing a white hat, royal blue polo shirt with ITALIA white lettering in the front, and denim jeans.
The robbers fled in two vehicles, a black four-door sedan and a white four door sedan.
