(Miami-Dade County, FL) --
Following the issue of a BOLO (Be On The Lookout) by MDPD Hammocks District officers, officers from the South District today took 15-year old Alain Moss into custody after a vehicle pursuit.
Investigators say shortly after noon, a white 2013 Chevy Tahoe was reported stolen in the area of the 11900 block of SW 185 Street. South District officers spotted the stolen vehicle in the area of Goulds Park, at S.W. 220 Street and S.W. 114 Avenue. Officers attempted a traffic stop, but the driver of the vehicle refused to stop. Neighboring police agencies responded to assist.
During the pursuit, Moss led officers south on the Turnpike, then north, and into Broward County, striking an unmarked Homestead Police Department vehicle and several civilian vehicles. The juvenile was taken into custody without further incident at N.W. 183 Street and N.W. 39 Court and is being charged with Grand Theft (Auto), Fleeing & Eluding, Aggravated Assault, and No Valid Driver’s License.
