Mass Shooting

(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- 

The Miami-Dade Police Department, Homicide Bureau is investigating a mass shooting that resulted in two dead and over twenty injured.

According to investigators, the establishment was hosting a scheduled event and several patrons were standing outside.  The subjects' SUV approached the front of the business, three subjects exited the vehicle and began shooting indiscriminately into the crowd. The subjects entered the SUV and fled the scene.  Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded, determined two victims were deceased on the scene and transported eight others to various hospitals in Miami-Dade and Broward.  In addition, over twelve other victims were self-transported to various hospitals.  At least one victim was transported in critical condition.

Detectives are seeking the assistance of the community with any information, to include the identity/whereabouts of the individuals responsible for this act.

The investigation continues.

Update #1:  The available information for the victims and their status has been listed.  In addition to the Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers reward of $5,000, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) has provided an additional $25,000.  This brings the total Crime Stoppers reward to $30,000.  Mr. Marcus Lemonis has committed to a separate reward of $100,000 for the arrest and conviction of those involved. Video footage of the incident is available on the FTP site under 2021/May/MEDIA_RELEASE_PD210530169793

Update #2:  Investigators have located and recovered the Nissan Pathfinder submerged in a canal, in the area of 154 Street NW 2 Avenue.  The vehicle was reported stolen on May 15, 2021.

Update #3: Unfortunately, a third victim has succumbed to her injuries and is listed above.  Investigators have confirmed that from the onset of this investigation, there were multiple shooters from various locations.  Detectives continue to follow all leads in an effort to identify all parties involved. 

Update #4: Investigators have arrested the individual listed above and charged him accordingly.
