PortMiami launches a new real-time system for the safe navigation of big ships

MIAMI (March 27, 2018)

Join officials from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and Miami-Dade County for the dedication of a new Physical Oceanographic Real Time System (PORTS®). NOAA and PortMiami have partnered to install this system that consists of three new current meter sensors in PortMiami’s channel. The current meters will provide critical real-time information to big ship operators for the safe transit into PortMiami.
