CAHSD recruiting members for the Community Action Agency Board
Miami-Dade County Community Action and Human Services Department (CAHSD) is accepting applications for membership on the Community Action Agency Board, a 45-member advisory board to the Miami-Dade Board of County Commissioners regarding the development, planning, implementation and evaluation of Community Service Block Grant (CSBG) programs, Head Start and other programs administered by CAHSD. The role of the CAA Board is to advise the County on issues related to poverty, the reduction of such poverty, and the revitalization of impoverished communities.
The CAA Board is seeking members representing the following industries: Education, Social Welfare, Religion, Legal, Business and Elderly Services. Members are expected to actively participate in monthly board meetings.
