6th Annual Faith Organizations Domestic Violence and Human Trafficking Awareness Day
Members of the faith-based community meet to discuss domestic violence and human trafficking
Join Miami-Dade County Community Action and Human Services Department (CAHSD) on Friday, October 18, 2019, from 10 a.m. to noon for a free two-hour educational workshop and community dialogue on domestic violence and human trafficking. Workshops will be offered in English, Spanish and Creole.
In recognition of National Domestic Violence Awareness Month, workshops led by experts in the fields of domestic violence and human trafficking will focus on raising awareness and increasing coordination of services for victims in Miami-Dade County. “Faith-based organizations play an extremely important role in combatting domestic violence and human trafficking and are important to eliminating both forms of violence in our community,” said CAHSD Director, Lucia Davis-Raiford.
The event will be held at the Miami-Dade County Coordinated Victims Assistance Center (CVAC).
