Residents: Join us for National Weatherization Day
Homeowners can receive a variety of free products and services
Miami-Dade County Community Action and Human Services Department (CAHSD) invites you to join us in celebrating National Weatherization Day on Wednesday, October 30, 2019, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. in Homestead.
This annual event includes completing a home weatherization project for eligible Miami-Dade County residents. It also raises awareness of the importance of conservation and sustainability.
Through the installation of cost-effective and energy-saving materials, the Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) has a 40-year history of making homes more energy efficient. This year’s weatherization project includes minor ceiling repairs and the installation of new exterior doors, solar film, carbon monoxide detectors, smoke detectors, energy-efficient light bulbs and refrigerators at no cost to homeowners.
Join CAHSD for this free event at 27903 SW 131st Ave. in Homestead, Florida, 33032.
The Weatherization Assistance Program is supported by the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity of the Department of Energy as part of an award totaling $1,973,844.97.
