Small Claims Court process explained at free presentation on February 6

MIAMI ( February 03, 2020 )

The Miami-Dade County Department of Regulatory and Economic Resources (RER), Office of Consumer Protection, will host a free Small Claims Court presentation at noon, Thursday, Feb. 6, at the South Dade Government Center, 10710 SW 211 Street, Room 104.

The presentation will provide participants with guidance on the procedures for filing a claim in the County’s Small Claims Court, including a Q&A session and resources for preparing for trial.

Small Claims Court is used by individuals who want to address disputes involving $8,000 or less without the costly burden of having to hire an attorney. The Small Claims Court presentation will be led by Community Outreach Specialist Bryant Acevedo.
