Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez to hold media availability following Coronavirus meeting

MIAMI ( February 26, 2020 ) —

Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez and representatives from the Florida Department of Health, Miami-Dade County Public Schools, Jackson Health System, the Miami-Dade County Office of Emergency Management, Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, the Miami-Dade Aviation Department and PortMiami will be meeting to prepare a contingency plan for any potential impacts of the Coronavirus in Miami-Dade County.

The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 27, 2020, at the Stephen P. Clark Center, 111 N.W. 1st Ave., 29th floor, Miami. Following the meeting, there will be a media availability in the Mayor's office collaboration area. It is expected that this will take place at approximately 2 p.m., but it will depend on the length of the meeting.

Media may begin arriving at 1:30 p.m. to set up.
