Mayor directs WASD to suspend water service disconnects
Customers of the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department (WASD) will not have to worry about their water service during the current State of Emergency for Miami-Dade County.
“In response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and Miami-Dade County being under a state of emergency, I have directed the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department to suspend the disconnection of water service for nonpayment for the next 30 days,” said Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez. “It is imperative that customers have continuous and reliable access to drinking water during this state of emergency.”
It is the priority of the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department to provide safe, reliable service to its customers. For additional information about Department services and programs, visit the WASD website.
