Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez to attend press conference on COVID-19 testing site at Marlins Park

MIAMI ( March 24, 2020 ) —

Miami-Dade Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez will join the Florida National Guard, the City of Miami, the Florida Department of Health, Jackson Health System and the Miami Marlins organization at a press conference Tuesday, March 24, 2020, at 3 pm, at Marlins Park, 501 Marlins Way, Miami, to present information on a COVID-19 testing site that is being set up at the stadium.

In order to keep the recommended social distance of six feet between people, we will be instituting a pool camera policy for the podium shot whenever we have any press conferences. Local 10 will be today's pool. WPLG is sending an email to all the news desks, in order to arrange for sharing/distribution. One-on-one b-roll opportunities will be available at the actual testing location by contacting PIO Juan Diasgranados at 786-495-2264.

We also want to remind reporters and any media on site to please adhere to the social distancing recommendation during the event.
