Miami-Dade County Parks launches #ThePlayground, with interactive, online content on parks and recreation

Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces has launched #ThePlayground, social media content that showcases engaging experiences, tutorials and trainings for people of all ages and experiences. The first post will feature the world-renowned Zoo Miami on March 26 on Miami Dade County Parks’ Instagram.

Ongoing livestreamed and virtual activities and adventures will be featured across Miami-Dade County’s Facebook, Instagram and YouTube pages to help people stay active and engaged while practicing social distancing due to COVID-19.

New segments will be introduced weekly and will showcase topics ranging from behind the scenes experiences with Miami-Dade County Parks’ staff and workout routines to arts, crafts and much more. Followers will get special insights into Miami-Dade County's Heritage Parks, beaches, coastal areas, preserves and attractions, including the Deering Estate, Redland Fruit & Spice Park, Miami EcoAdventures and more, all from the comfort of their homes.
