Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez to visit South Dade growers to announce funding model for food distribution

Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez will visit with agriculturists in South Dade to announce a funding model that allows for produce grown locally to be sold and distributed to local food banks.

Several area growers will join the Mayor for the announcement that will take place Saturday, April 18, 2020, at 8 a.m., at 1225 NW Second Street, Homestead.

Television stations should arrange for a pool camera, so that each of them can have access to a good shot while allowing photographers to practice social distancing. Members of the media, please remember to stay six feet apart and wear a facial covering to the event.
