COVID-19 testing sites temporarily close due to weather

For residents' safety, all State and County sites are closed until Monday, May 18

MIAMI ( May 15, 2020 )

Following directives from the Florida Division of Emergency Management to ensure the safety of all residents, Miami-Dade County is temporarily closing all State and County COVID-19 testing sites due to a low-pressure system impacting the region this weekend.

Sites are closing today, Friday, May 15, and will reopen on Monday, May 18. For details on specific closures, please see miamidade.gov/coronavirus.

The low-pressure system is moving from the Florida Keys northward offshore of Florida’s East Coast, with anticipated wind gusts up to 40 mph, lightning and the potential for severe thunderstorms with heavy rain. These conditions may intensify overnight on Friday, May 15, and are not expected to dissipate until the early hours of Sunday, May 17.
