The Deering Estate offers an exciting opportunity where you can take photos of the sunrise and moonrise over Biscayne Bay! You can also explore the Deering Estate's natural environment with the new Nature Photography session where a Deering Estate naturalist will teach you about the natural environment and techniques used for capturing nature through photography.

Sunrise Photography
September 22 (Equinox), 6 a.m. - 8 a.m.

Explore the Deering Estate's natural environment while a Deering Estate naturalist teaches you techniques for capturing photos in nature. Each session has a different theme! Bring your camera, tripod, face mask, water, and bug spray. Ages 9 & older.

Please note that guests must practice social distancing, wear face coverings, and no gatherings of 10 or more people.

The Deering Estate preserves the 1920s era Miami estate of Charles Deering, Chicago industrialist, early preservationist, environmentalist, art collector, philanthropist and first chairman of the International Harvester Company. The Deering Estate is a 21st Century house museum, cultural and ecological field station, and a national landmark listed on the National Register of Historic Places, owned by the State of Florida and managed by Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department.
