Transit services to be impacted during presidential visit
Miami-Dade Transit services will be temporarily impacted on Thursday, October 15, during a visit from the United States’ President and Vice President.
For security reasons, Metromover Omni Loop will cease service starting at 6:30 p.m. A Metrobus shuttle for the Omni Loop will be established once service is stopped. However, the bus shuttle may be interrupted intermittently during the evening. Riders are encouraged to become familiar with the shuttle route for the Omni Loop.
Metrorail may need to also cease service momentarily between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Thursday. Metrobus routes S, 3, 120, and M will be detoured. Other Metrobus routes may also be impacted on Thursday evening.
Miami-Dade Transit is asking passengers to plan accordingly. Metrorail riders who plan to use Metrorail to go to Miami International Airport are encouraged to give themselves ample time to arrive to their destination on time.
