Miami-Dade County and Florida Division of Emergency Management partner to provide vaccines at PortMiami

MIAMI ( May 10, 2021 )

Miami-Dade County and the Florida Division of Emergency Management are partnering to provide the maritime community with COVID-19 vaccines at PortMiami. Starting today, Monday, May 10, vaccination will be available at Cruise Terminal J. This effort continues Miami-Dade County's vaccine distribution program that started earlier this month – since vaccination began, over 2,500 shots have already been administered to crew members.

"We are working hard to get shots in arms at the Port as we push for the safe restart of cruising this summer," said Mayor Daniella Levine Cava. "I'm proud we have already vaccinated thousands of crew members at the Port – a key step to protecting our workforce, residents, and visitors and ensuring the safe return of this vital industry."

PortMiami’s new vaccination site will be open Monday from Saturday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Terminal J. Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson are available at the Port, and appointments are not required. For more information visit FloridaDisaster.org/Vaccine or miamidade.gov/vaccine.
