Registration now open for "Youth Arts in the Parks" spring classes for children and youth with and without disabilities

Registration is now open for the spring session of the “All Kids Included - Youth Arts in the Parks” program for children and youth ages six through 17; youth with disabilities are welcome through 22 years of age. The registration deadline is Friday, January 28, 2022, at www.AllKidsIncludedMiami.org.

Youth Arts in the Parks an inclusive, socially oriented arts program for children and youth with and without disabilities. The program teaches youth of all abilities visual arts, creative movement, music and expression, or computer animation in a supportive, social setting.  Classes are led by professional artists/art teachers, certified instructors, and disability experts.

The program is being held at the following locations:

The session runs January 29 – April 23, 2022. Classes are held on Saturdays, from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. A virtual orientation is scheduled for January 22 at 11:00 a.m. and a culminating event, exhibition and performance by the participating students will be held at each program location on April 30, 2022.

The cost to attend the program is $30 for Miami-Dade residents and $300 for non-residents.  Program fees include 12 weekly sessions, an AKI t-shirt, and culminating event.  Program fees are non-refundable. Register at www.AllKidsIncludedMiami.org.

The program is presented by the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs All Kids Included initiative in partnership with Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Therapeutic, Recreation & Inclusion, Miami-Dade County Public Library System, the Sandrell Rivers Theater, and Arts for Learning/Miami, with funding from The Children’s Trust
