Miami-Dade County Department of Solid Waste Management Independence Day 2022 holiday waste collection, recycling, and disposal facility schedule

The Miami-Dade County Department of Solid Waste Management (DSWM) has released the schedule of services for the upcoming Independence Day holiday.

Curbside waste and trash collection service

The DSWM will not collect garbage and trash on Monday, July 4, 2022 in observance of the Independence Day holiday. Waste collection customers who are regularly serviced on Monday should not place their green waste carts at the curb that day. Waste collection for these customers will take place on their next regularly scheduled collection day, Thursday, July 7, 2022.

Curbside recycling collection service

Curbside recycling collection service will take place on Monday, July 4, 2022, as scheduled. Miami-Dade County curbside recycling service customers whose recycling collection day falls on that day are advised to place only their blue recycling carts at the curb by 7 a.m. on Monday, July 4, 2022.

Disposal facilities

The following DSWM facilities will be CLOSED on Monday, July 4, 2022:

• All Neighborhood Trash and Recycling Centers
• Central, West and Northeast Regional Transfer Stations
• All Home Chemical Collection Centers
• North Dade Landfill

The following DSWM facilities will be OPEN on Monday, July 4, 2022, and will observe normal operating hours:

• South Dade Landfill
• Resources Recovery Facility

Administrative offices

The DSWM administrative offices will be closed on Monday, July 4, 2022.
