Miami-Dade County offering vaccination for children in several locations and elementary schools

MIAMI ( November 17, 2021 )

Miami-Dade County, in collaboration with NOMI Health, is offering vaccination for children between the ages of 5 to 12 years old at seven of the regular county-run vaccination sites. In addition, the County and NOMI are working with Miami-Dade County Public Schools to bring weekly pop-ups to elementary schools across the community to offer easy vaccination access for children and parents.

“I'm extremely proud of our efforts as a County to control the spread of the virus and fight the Delta variant. But it's critical that we don’t wait until the next wave to protect our families – the time to get your children vaccinated is now,” said Miami-Dade Mayor Daniella Levine Cava. “As a mother and a grandmother, I understand that every parent wants to protect their children. We know that vaccination is the single best tool we have to keep ourselves and our loved ones safe during the pandemic, and I encourage all eligible residents to get the vaccine as soon as possible.”

Parents with children between 5 and 12 years old can now take them to receive the Pfizer COVID vaccine at the following locations:

  • Aventura
  • Dolphin Mall
  • Dan Paul Plaza
  • Harris Field
  • Joseph Caleb Center
  • Miami Beach Convention Center
  • Tropical Park
  • Zoo Miami
