MIAMI – The Asian-American Advisory Board (AAAB), under the Office of Community Advocacy, will hold its monthly meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2019 at 6 p.m. at the Stephen P. Clark Center, 111 NW 1st Street, 10th Floor Transportation Trust Conference Room.
The agenda for this month will include upcoming events to promote Asian cultural and civic engagement opportunities for Miami-Dade County residents. Some of the events that will take place soon are:
- Chinese Immigration info. the Caribbean Basin on Saturday, Feb. 16 from 1:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
- Chinese New Year Festival on Sunday Feb. 17 from 11 to 6 p.m.
- Asian Culture Festival on March 2 and 3 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
All meetings of the Asian-American Advisory Board are open to the public, and residents are encouraged to attend and learn more about the work of the board. There will be an opportunity for attendees to comment at the beginning of the meeting, and the board is especially interested in hearing about issues impacting the Asian community in Miami-Dade County.
