Fourth annual Taste of Haiti set for May 14


MIAMI-DADE – As part of Miami-Dade County’s celebrations of Haitian Cultural Heritage Month, Commission Chairman Jean Monestime, in collaboration with the Haitian Culinary Alliance, the City of North Miami, the Consulate General of the Republic of Haiti in Miami, the Haitian-American Chamber of Commerce of Florida and the Little Haiti Optimist Club, will present the fourth annual Taste of Haiti Saturday, May 14 from 3 to 9 p.m. at the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) plaza, 770 NE 125th St., North Miami.

The free-admission culinary extravaganza will showcase delicious Haitian cuisine from some of the top chefs and restaurants in the community. The event also will feature activities for the entire family, as well as music and entertainment.

“I encourage residents from all across South Florida to come and feast on delicious Haitian cuisine while enjoying a great outing with the family,” Chairman Monestime said.
